    H520e version coming out soon

Same thing I've heard, a new H520E alongside an H920E which i assume is the updated Tornado which was shown in a german trade show last year. Both with rtk options. Apparently the original rtk kit was canned as it didnt live up to promise. Thats a pity as original H520 were to be upgradeable.

    DataPilot & Terrain follow

Hi Pawel, Just a quick one about the tolerance. So you put together a grid, and the first leg is from say point A to point B. Using the terrain below the software will introduce additional waypoints between A & B in order to follow the terrain. The issue would be that terrain can be quite...

Would you buy a H520 now?

Well I suppose it comes down to when you bought it, what you need from it, and the support you get in your territory. We've owned an H520 & E90 for about a year and a quarter. I have to say my employers are very happy with it. We are in the UK and do a mix of video/stills and full topo surveys...

Problem with Logs on st16 for H520

Not sure I can help too much here, but I do use DroneLogbook too and have had those same issues. If you install a file manager app on the ST16s then you can navigate to the Datapilot folder on the inbuilt storage, and find the logs folder within. Just delete the logs you already have. theres...

    New DataPilot update 1/17/2020

Watch out for this one! It will not return at the battery level you've set the low battery warning at. It will only return when there is an exceptionally low battery, and if you wait until this point you really risk the drone having insufficient battery to get home. Just initiate a RTL when you...

    New DataPilot update 1/17/2020

Fixed is a very black and white term. Software can be complex enough that bug fixing is shades of grey! Unfortunately Yuneec dont really detail what the bugs are that they've fixed. We just have to hope that these high price cameras that they are rolling out helps justify them continuing to...

Would you please give me some advice on survey programming with my H520?

Perhaps I could give my recent experience. The last large survey I did was using 7 batteries. It was in August time (I tend to do infrequent but very large or intensive surveying). I found ther ST16s controller picked up the remaining survey once the drone rebooted after every battery change...

    Ortho-rectified...

Tommy, An ortho-rectified image is also an orthomosaic. its possible that your client is having problems getting his software to load the images. Have you asked Pix4D Mapper to produce ortho tiles? Thats a better bet. I use AutoCAD and it refuses to load any tiff encoded as a BigTiff format...

will h520 catch up with competitors? Multispectral opportunities

A quick Google gives this article; https://www.uavfordrone.com/dji-drone-with-multispectral-camera-sensors-working-process/ Sorry my phone won't let me create a proper link.

    Rebirth of the H920

Also loving the idea of a lidar system. That would be a **** of a business case to put to the boss!! So up to 3kg payload Up to 1 hr flight time with lighter loads Up to 7km range (with no silly 99-waypoint limitation) Option of RTK GPS. Those are good specs. That would be some serious...

    Rebirth of the H920

Yeah saw that too. Dont know what "OFDM" means rregarding the range. Maybe angling towards BVLOS due to the 1hr flight time when lightly loaded.

    Rebirth of the H920

Saw another video, posted on an H520 thread by PAW; In that video they show a flyer with potential specs of the re-born H920; Also that 5 lens camera looks amazing. Have seen a prototype on Facebook and it was intended for the M200 series, so looks like the developer is branching out! Also...

will h520 catch up with competitors? Multispectral opportunities

PAW, took a close look at that and its very interesting that all the signage is in english. The NDVI is based on a sony R10C and seems to be produced by a company called Agrowing. Some interesting details on there that they also plan to support the CGO4 camera on the H920. There is also a...

    Intergeo - New products?

Ah, missed that bit! Thank you. Hopefully then we get our mechanical shutter, variable aperture survey & cinematic beast of a camera up next! Whilst the third party addons are interesting for the H520, and we know it can lift heavier loads, a third party camera and gimbal is likely to be...
