Go to the yuneec site and watch the slider pics. There is indeed a free wand with pre-order for a limited time.

    Typhoon H question

First it's not even released yet so..... There's technically nothing out for it at all. Second there is no SDK for it so no third party apps will be available. That being said I think sone of those apps like pix4d only process pics you take so they will still work. The H has waypoint flight...

No Fly Zone for End Users

I understand that completely but if you got permission the difference is that your drone will turn its props in all the other areas.

No Fly Zone for End Users

Sadly in the city I live in, the whole town is built in a circle around the airport so pretty much no fly in most parks and the most scenic areas of town

    Distance

Look at it this way. The H isn't out yet and there are no real world range test numbers for it. All we have are the advertised ranges. The radio is not the same as the Q500 series so that can't be used as a basis. You are asking for info that is not available. I would recommend maybe searching...

No Fly Zone for End Users

Thanks for the info that helps my decision. I wish we had acces to the NFZ database now. I can't access the app you all get linked to its not available in Canada and the Hover app that is shows my house inside a yellow area because of an old dirt airstrip. Does anyone have any info on Canadian...

    Microphone

The Typhoon H uses the CGO3 camera which in fact has a microphone when sold on the Q500 or SteadyGrip, so I would say yes.

Yuneec International Announces Pricing and Availability of Highly Anticipated Typhoon

Unless I misread, its 5 feet away AND you have to be flying in smart mode which limits you quite a lot to begin with. To be honest, the ultrasonic sensors are nearly a useless feature in my opinion. As for smart mode, it should be impossible to take off in smart mode as I read more reports of...

    ND Filters

The use of the filter is to lower the amount of light coming into the camera so that you can film with a slower shutter speed. The target to achieve cinematographic video is 1/(2 x Frame Rate) so at 30 fps you want your shutter running at 1/60. The ND filters allow you to achieve this and...

No Fly Zone for End Users

I'm more annoyed with the mandatory 400' altitude lockout. I'm hoping this can be bypassed. I was about to preorder the H when I saw this. Last I heard 400' was a recommendation from the FAA not a law, and for those of us who aren't in the US and governed by their laws its doubly annoying. I'll...

    A message to Yuneec

In autofly modes like tap-to-fly and active-track and return to home, the P4 will definately go around or over objects. It will stop when the pilot is the one steering it.

    A message to Yuneec

So much misinformation in one single post that I can't even decide where to begin correcting it. Instead I'll just recommend people do some actual research into the capabilities of both aircraft rather than basing anything on hearsay from a supposedly knowledgeable shop owner who apparently got...

    STEADY GRIP HACK

In that thread they mention that leaving a LiPO alarm attached will run your battery flat and ruin it. With a little more work, you could connect the Lipo alarm to the switched power instead of straight to the battery which would disable the alarm when the grip is turned off. I'll have to check...

    ND Filters

Thanks for this!! Not being able to find filters was one of the things impeding my decision to get the Q500!

    Drones Prohibited!

I hate to tell you this but.... Flying a drone recreationally - Transport Canada Can I fly in a national park? Recreational use of a UAV is prohibited in national parks. The National Parks of Canada Aircraft Access Regulations prohibits aircraft landings and take-offs in national parks except...
