How do you format your SD cards?

Download the CGO app to an iPhone or Android. Turn the Q500 on and connect via wifi using the app. There is an option in the app to format the card. I have done this and it works a treat.

    Q500 4k, replacement batteries

Thanks Chuck. Let me know how you do with your GIFIs and also how quickly they die once the remote indicates you should be landing? The Yuneec originals give me plenty of time, but I have heard some stories that some aftermarkets see the voltage drop off a cliff which wouldn’t be good.

    Q500 4k, replacement batteries

Cheers Jafo. Makes sense. I think I was concerned about stressing the charger beyond it’s capabilities, which could lead to early life failure. If The longer charge time potentially takes some time off the end-of-life date of the charger, given I have no idea when that would be, I can live...

    Q500 4k, replacement batteries

Cheers that is good info. In addition do the GIFIs have perfect connection alignment? I have read that some after market batteries are not spot on so it could physical damage the charger and worse still the Q500. Would still like an answer to my original charging question though if anyone...

    Q500 4k, replacement batteries

The GIFI Mah is higher than the Yuneec originals. Does this put any additional strain on charging devices, or does it just take longer? I have 2 Yuneec originals and a Morpilot dual charger with the balance displays.

    Boxing Day by the River...

What a lovely video. Can I ask what drone you have? The quality of the panning was exceptional, no jerks or eratic movement. I assume you are a pro, and if not a blinking good amateur. I have a Q500 as I am a newby, but as goid a drone as it is it has plenty of shortcomings. Would be good...

UAV simulator. Can't get GPS back

STOP PRESS: Answering my own query here. I hadn’t been shuttling off the props before attempting to re-enable GPS. When I did this it works. There is a quirk in as much as GPS actually says it is already enabled, but if you disable and then re-enable it does work. Even the lights on the...

UAV simulator. Can't get GPS back

Hi All, On the UAV flight simulator, when I disable GPS on the remote everything is fine and GPS switches off. The simulator then flies without GPS....no surprises so far. However, when I try to re-enable GPS on the remote, the remote already says it is on, but it isn't. The slider seems...

    Good Vibrations

I guess my 10.7 (amber) is still a good approach to adopt. And if I ever feel the vibrate, then I can start to panic! Many thanks to all, you are a top bunch of people.

    Good Vibrations

So with my titular tribute to the Beach Boys over :) I will move to my tenuously connected question...sorry if you were a fan, no offence meant. The instructions says the ST10+ will vibrate on low battery, but I don't seem to get anything. I do get a yellow battery display saying 10.7v...

    Battery! Battery! Battery!

2nd post having resolved my first issue (thanks to Steve an AH-1G). I've been flying for over a week now with no issues, but I do have a question about battery life. I use the two Yuneec batteries that came with the Q5004K (I swap them over for each flight so they are getting equal usage). I...

CG03 wiring broken. Help appreciated I am a real novice

Top bloke. Great info. Having now got the cable to work, i’ll pass. However, I am sure there are loads out there, with a steady soldering hand, who will simply see this as the right thing to do
