Well, all hacks should be done solely by people who know the consequences. If it would be too easy, it would be no hack. I found this one by decompiling the camera firmware, trying to find out how to connect it to a PC.

Hi, I am still hacking the CGO to get more out of it. I found another one: the build-in fan can be disabled with a simple file, which must be created in the root directory of your SD card. The file must be named "temperature". No extension, no contents. Just create that empty file on the SD...

The videos need to be mapped to those locally available. Unfortunately, this seems to be not always possible, because there are some files which are dated to 01/01/1980 but have a correct date on the ST10. So, I need some more time to work-a-round this issue.

Most questions concerning the ET is how to receive the stream on a separate notebook or device with a big screen, so rarely a smartphone or tablet device. Using VLC on a computer with an external high range antenna would fit perfectly for this use case

Hi, because someone asked me about the thermal live feed URL: it is rtsp://192.168.42.1:8554/live I can't verify this URL, but maybe it works and helps someone, who owns this device.

When using with the hand held, you better use an separate mic (e.g. your phone?!) and combine both streams in post rather than doing it with the cam. First, the USB port is not activated for external purposes as gwhuntoon said and the firmware does not give a clue how to enable it anyhow...

By the way: it is absolutely NOT possible to play the videos on the ST10+ directly, simply because the hardware is too slow to play HD or even 4K. I am working on a solution to play the locally stored preview files as these are the same as on the CGO3 but way smaller and already locally...

open a Browser while connected, enter http://192.168.42.1 and start downloading. But note, that the transfer will be very slow, because it is working with 6MBit/s only by default. I am working on an app which is able to increase that to max. 54MBit/s for the ST10+.

Well, yes I think it is possible, because the app loads a bunch of XML configuration files on startup, which contains the details of the requested cam. However, I haven't analyzed the firmware that deeply so I could say how it works exactly. The MK58 and CGO1 have slightly different streaming...
