    New owner

I'm new to this as well, but these guys are correct. take it slow, read/watch everything you can and get used to it. Also, find somewhere local if possible that carries props for your Q. It comes with a set, but a couple quick mistakes can eat up your extras. Enjoy.

    Lighting off gimbal plug.

Anyone ever split the plug at the gimbal connector? I built a connector which allows me to connect my gimbal and power a light off the same plug. I haven't plugged it in (both simultaneously) but have done so separately and it works fine. I just don't want to overload the circuit on the Yuneec...

    firmware update

Anyone do the latest Firmware update to the St10+ ? From March 3rd? I'm thinking about it, just didn't want to 'jump the gun' so to speak. Not sure if you could go backwards with firmware updates or not. Does anyone know what exactly it fixes? Besides the "bugs" that Yuneec posted. Thanks

Took a quick flight while in Portland, OR.

Yeah, I lost site of it several times, it kind of blended with scenery and so I had to rely on my wife's sight as well as what the monitor was showing. Arrow where home is is a godsend.

    Just purchased q500+

When you fly it in the "Smart" mode, it's always in either Follow or Watch me mode. You'll want to learn to fly in "Angle or Pilot" mode (center position) on switch. I started just like you did, and even asked the same question. Flying in "Pilot" mode is easier once you get a few flights...

Took a quick flight while in Portland, OR.

Here's a quick video (6min) that i took Friday while we were in Portland. Was a great day to fly, got a little nervous over the water as I lost sight of it a couple times. Tell me what you think. I'm just a novice videographer, just FYI.

    Best software

Update: Failed. The Garmin software works fine, just the CSV file from the remote work with the Garmin software. It's looking for .gpx or .tcx files not .csv . I'll keep looking. Would be nice if Dashware made a Mac compatible version of their software for us.

    Prop Balancing

They make a special prop balancing tool (can find on ebay for about $11) little different than the one used with a centering cone. Has a straight rod with threads on both ends for right and left handed props. I don't have one, but have seen it used. Fairly straight forward. Cheers!

    Best software

For us Mac users who can't use Dashware, I've found a site that has video editing and telemetry data input built in to its software. Mac/Win compatible. I'll let you know more when I produce a video with it. For now it's the Garmin VIRB editing software. Has anyone else found this to be useful?

I'm beginning to trust the Typhoon over water. it's so freaking stable!

These things are crazy stable. Hard not to trust them after a bunch of good flights. Great job by the way.

    Connecting to CGO2GB+ from PC

I've connected well with my Note5, and the iPad quite well. I haven't tried a Macbook yet though. One thing I've found is that my phone or ipad wants connect to my home network instead of the CGO2, but other than that, no issues.

Created a Thread to Introduce Yourself!

I have similar issues occasionally, but I'm running the CGO2 1080P.. Thoughts?

    Oregon newbie

Hello all, I'm new to the site as well and a new Typhoon flyer. I've only had my Q500+ about a month now but have been enjoying it quite a bit. I've been getting used to flying in Angle mode vs smart and occasionally take it up beyond the "recommended" vertical limits for evening...
