I tend to keep my batteries at 75% charge, unless I don't plan on flying for a very long period of time. If its long storage, I just fly them down or charge them up to 50%... At 75% charge, I can be GTG in an hour with a fully charged pack.

I'm very curious to hear back if Yuneec does something if the non-OEM battery is determined to be the issue. Not that I'd expect them to.

No it does not. However motor failures resulting in a crash are so rare as to be almost a non-issue. I'd been in this hobby for quite a while. Even in the early days of the Phantoms (or prosumer drones), crashes due to true motor failures were extremely rare. Quads falling out of the sky...

+1 on what has been said so far. On any of my drones I take it up to about 10' and let it hover. I watch for drift. It its drifting badly then I recalibrate....
