    Crazy videos on SD card

Hi - All good points. I've had the same problem with GoPro recordings at 4K. My computer is a bit of a clunker and I assumed it was overloaded until I researched it as a potential GoPro issue on their website... I don't even have a Typhoon yet so take it with a grain of salt. Anyway, HERE is...

    Yuneec Q500 4K thoughts

"I get it. It's not the end of the world. As far as a solution though, I'm already in the process of making my own fix. I have some left over 1/16th" carbon fiber to fabricate into 8 plates. I'm grinding away the plastic rings around the motor mounting screws. Then sandwich the mount with a...

Hi Sticks... I love it when someone takes something I have said and cranks it up about 5-6 notches. HAHA Seriously, I think it would be nice if Yuneec came up with some sort of reinforcement device - maybe something like those aluminum discs that would help bridge any potential cracking of the...

just enough clear sky here to get some flying time in today

I am a former Air Force medic and did brain wave testing as a career. Curiously enough, researchers started hooking people up to EEG machines and monitored brain wave activity as the subjects watched TVs. When a single view shot was played for longer than about 10-15 minutes the brain activity...

just enough clear sky here to get some flying time in today

Smooth! Nice shots and nice transitioning between shots. I think your timing between each splice is about perfect. I've seen too many videos - even short ones where it is the same monotonous shot for too long. Network television and big screen movies are typically around 4 seconds per shot.

"Even vehicles, where Bodily injury and death are certainly much more of a risk, it still takes a disturbing amount of "defective" failures to make it a recall - even voluntary." Hi Sticks - Your point is well taken. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration does seem a bit slow on...

    Yuneec Q500 4K thoughts

No word yet from Yuneec in response to my email to CS. Since Yuneec has acknowledged that this is now a "known issue" I would think they're on the stick as far as rectifying it, and by rectifying, I do NOT mean simply exchanging for a new frame/body with the same design/material flaw. As much...

    Yuneec Q500 4K thoughts

Here is another problem I have come across in my research... I am not trying to bash Yuneec or their products. I am simply trying to familiarize myself with the Typhoon by doing my homework. This stuff is out there and in my opinion worth investigating. This one is in regards to the motor...

    Yuneec Q500 4K thoughts

Hello all - I don't even have mine yet so can't speak from direct experience. That said, this problem has me concerned enough to contact Yuneec directly. I would hope that by now some fix is in the works(?) In any case, I have taken the liberty of contacting Yuneec US customer support with my...

    Yuneec Q500 4K thoughts

At least one guy on one of the forums has fabricated metal reinforcement discs that install under the motor. Apparently it has been occurring in Typhoons that haven't crashed or in at least one case, even been flown one time. I can not imagine that simply replacing the frame/body with one of...

    Yuneec Q500 4K thoughts

I've recently ordered a Q500 4K and am anxious to see how I do with it. After starting small, building a tricopter from scratch and eventually purchasing a Phantom 2 with which I've had good fun, I hopefully am not guilty of jumping in over my head with too much too soon. Everything I've heard...

Created a Thread to Introduce Yourself!

Hello - John here. I live on central California coast near Morro Bay. Am relatively new to the whole RC thing and at age 61 it's quite different from anything I've done before. I did not grow up with a video game controller in hand like some people did. My son gave me a GoPro Hero4 camera...
