Typhoon H fell out of the sky..

Nope. I have a Q500 4k. Need to send it back again after learning they did not fix one of the motors correctly. The tolerances are 8.6 versus 8.4mm for the other motors. My next drone will be a DJI when I get the cash. The DJI do not have this defect.

GPS not pairing with Yuneeq Q500

Thanks. Issue resolved. The awesome folks at EZDrone helped me out yesterday. I had to bind the controller to the drone and was able to get that fixed. Unfortunately, Yuneec did not fix the broken motor issue correctly so have to send it back AGAIN for warranty repairs. Ugh!

Typhoon H fell out of the sky..

Mine has been nothing but trouble with defective motors replaced, failed remote controller. I am starting to think Yuneec is junk! The DJI phantoms are not as unreliable from what drone shops tell me.

Thanks KB, Unfortunately it did not work so it is time to call support. Will let you know how it goes.

GPS not pairing with Yuneeq Q500

So I finally get my repaired drone back after support replaced two defective motors only to find out that my remote controller will not pair at all with the drone. I cannot even start the drone. It has solid purple on drone and cannot bind to it. Looks like a support call! Any ideas?

    It's Official FAA 107

The FAA has a free online document that shows the breakdown for all the different symbology of charts. Here is the link: FAA Aeronautical Chart User's Guide You can also buy a print copy at a local aviation store. I use this all the time as a pilot since there are so many symbols to memorize...

    It's Official FAA 107

Brings back fond memories of when I studied and took my private pilot written exam. At least you are well prepared should you ever decide to take the next big step to become a private or sport pilot. As much as I love flying drones, flying fast planes like Bonanzas and Cirrus is a rush in spite...

Yuneec versus DJI and Parrot drones

Agree in fact my next drone will be the smaller DJI Phantom 4. Love the looks and small footprint plus can use my ipad/iphone with it. Just waiting for deal on one as they are expensive compared to what I paid for my Yuneec Q500.

    Quality defect Q500

So after much effort with a Yuneec dealer here in San Diego, I figured out why my props wont stay on with my new Q500- the motor threadings are messed up. So now I need to send it back to Yuneec for repairs. Very disappointed in poor quality control on such an expensive toy. The DJI drones are...

    AMA and AUVSI worth joining?

    It's Official FAA 107

The crazy thing is how unprepared ATC and airport folks are to handle us drone pilots. When I called ATC they were confused about the drone matter.

    Removing flight restrictions

No, you send an email to Yuneec support or call them and they will have you sign a waiver release form then provide the firmware to remove the restriction.

    Removing flight restrictions

Serial number is on the bottom of your drone. Flip it over and it should be there easy to find.

New Nationwide Employment Opportunities in Commercial Drones

Nice to see new opportunities for drone pilots. I think it will become a large booming future for us drone pilots.
