Another dumb question about antennas

I know asking a question you probably know the answer to is usually a waste of time, but here goes ....
I have seen quite a few videos on upgrading/replacing the antennas on the Typhoon H.
All these involve disassembling the drone to get to the card the antenna wires plug in to.
Is it possible to just add to the wires (as with solder) and mount new antennas without taking the whole thing apart?

Nope. You cannot add a coax. It must be replaced. However, I would not modify the H antennas. I think the benefit isn't worth the effort.
However, modifying the ST16 is much easier and the benefit is much better. It just depends on what you are trying to accomplish. I have seen great improvement in the video feed by adding the Itelite antenna to the ST16.

I have the fpvlr and they work very well too.
