ARRL asking legal action against illegal drone signal boosters

ARRL has put this into the public realm. I'm putting it here to keep our members informed.

Some members have expressed desires for signal boosters, repeaters, etc. to increase the range of their drone control and/or video signals. Other members have pointed out the downside of these devices. ARRL says some devices are not only illegal, but dangerous as well.

I find nowhere to disagree with their action. It has been absolutely clear for a very long time that overseas manufacturers have little regard for the safety of others, having their only interest with generating profits for their company and country. Worse, people on this continent display little regard for, and even less knowledge of, rules and regulatory practices here at home. Toss in product advertising that deliberately encourages violating the law and there are solid grounds for a legal action.
