I built my Helo-pad today out of a screen door screen and some 1/2 pvc pipe. The screen goes on the screen door to keep pets and children from falling out thru them. It is 24 inches x 26 inches and 19 inches high. It weighs 6.4 lbs. I live in upstate NY, so I haven't flown it yet. But I'm learning a lot about them and getting stuff ready for better weather so that I can fly it. It cost me $48 to build it, $24 for the screen and $24 for the pipe,t's and elbows. I'm uploading some pictures I took while I made it.DSC_0265.JPG DSC_0266.JPG DSC_0269.JPG DSC_0271.JPG DSC_0272.JPG DSC_0273.JPG DSC_0277.JPG DSC_0279.JPG DSC_0280.JPG DSC_0283.JPG

Thank you very much. I haven't flown it yet but I read on this forum that it reduces the dust kicking up on take-off and getting in the motors. It all so reduces the ground effect bounce when landing. Just have to land on it. We have lots of snow and cold here in upstate NY.
