Cannot Initialize Camera

I have a strange problem with my setup. Ever since I bought the rig, my ST 16 says "Failed to initialize camera" but connects to it fine.
This is my standard routine:
1. Turn on ST16 and wait for it to fully initialize.
2. Turn on H.
3. ST 16 says RC connected connecting to camera
4. Camera view shows up, ST16 says failed to initialize camera.
5 H flies well, CGO3+ records well and takes pictures and panoramas. No issues.

I have flashed two new firmwares since I got the H. Cleared ST16 data and did rebind and all. This problem existed with the firmware the device came with. Never gave it too much thought and now its become this nagging thought that I may have to resolve this before something terrible happens.

Happens a lot to me as well... although I never questioned it... same as you.

I had the same issue, however after the latest firmware update and all the re-calibrations - it went away. Just to add, I made sure I did my camera calibration on a table that was level - not sure if that will help you.

Exactly, Pat. Does the same with my 3. A bit disconcerting at first, but no foul...
