Has anyone seen the minuteman hard case for the q500 and 4K. Pricey but very nice. Can leave props on in the case and is dust proof and waterproof.

It is pricey and heavy but does have wheels and handle extension to pull it. It does offer good protection though for our pricey investment and could be shipped in it as well

If you do much traveling with your Q500 than it may pay to invest in one. Especially if you will be checking it on an airline. I still exploring my airline options but it looks like this is a nice option. I like the Home Depot Husky case as it has plenty of room for big charger, battery bags, and even a place to keep a modified controller.

Sorry, can not find a box that fits a compete 500.
    9.45x16,54x16.54 inch
The listed Black Tactical Weatherproof Equipment Case looks fine and cheap
but all to small. And the Rolling Waterproof Equipment Case with Cubed Foam Interior
is to big and to expensive.

I found this one: Yuneec Q500 Carry Case - by MC-CASES - EXCELLENT MULTICOPTER CASES: Amazon.co.uk: Toys & Games

    with Protection against humidity
looks really smart ... no useless space left

that's my plan. I picked up the Job box from Home Depot this morning. I'm planning how to set it up securely. It looks like it will hold everything (X2 charger, extra batteries and LiPo bags etc.) Need a Dremel to modify the styrofoam neatly.

It's a great Idea, couldn't a Hobbie shop make a custom foam inserts?

So to follow up. I purchased the Husky Job Box this morning and I took the styrofoam from the Yuneec case and I was disappointed that it did not fit as well as the video indicated. With no modification to the styrofoam the top of the lid comes in contact with the top of the styrofoam lid. There is also about 1/2 inch space under the styrofoam and it touches only on the front and rear corner. It looks as though I may need to trim the bottom of the styrofoam on the lower front and lower rear corner so that it fits flush with the bottom of the Husky.
More to follow. Would love to get the foam insert at Aces but I have a 4K and I'm told it does not fit.

I was thinking of going to the Depot an picking up a one of the Husky Boxes. This might be a dumb question; don’t most Hobby shops have the capability of custom cutting Foam (That dark Gray Foam). I’m going to have to go ask the Hobby shop down the street, maybe Michaels, Hobby Lobby or one of the Bigger Hobby shops

There is a company that laser cuts foam and they told me they would give free foam to the first person who sends in the bird for scanning. Custom foam is $100 and they make foam for most of the big name cases like pelican.

Once they have the scan, you can make a custom layout that is to your liking. They will pay for shipping back if you ship it to them.

I posted a link about this already but just in case, here is the info again...

    Mycasebuilders.com

Ask to speak to Steve and tell them you want to take advantage of the free foam offer for sending in bird for scanning.
