How often do you recommend calibrating the compass on the q500+?

when ever you travel over 20 or more miles from where you regularly fly just to make sure .
if you see that your Q drift's from left to right on a calm day ( with GPS on ) i would recommend calibrating the compass on the q500 .
    fly safe

The bird comes Ready to Fly Out of the Box! Calibrating is a good habit to have but the BIRD will fly without calibrating before each flight. I use mine as a tool for Home Inspections (Inspect the roofs), sometimes twice a day in different locations.
I very seldom calibrate before a flight unless I’m going from 600 feet in the Valley to a Mountainous area, or maybe cross town (that’s over 65 miles). I also read that people are taking landing Pads with them to the Air strip – nice, never thought of building, hauling and setting up a landing pad. Maybe someday I’ll try one.
