Great news. We all knew the FAA had over-reached on this. I think only Congress could change it.

Keep in mind that this can always get appealed. Also, there will still be regulations on how drones are flow. My guess is that registration will be optional for the time being.

Ultimately, if you're going to make someone register a drone, I think they should have expanded privileges.

Things like:

• Higher than 400FT
• Ability to fly over traffic/people
• Non-Line of Sight Operation
• Passive operation from a moving vehicle (IE: follow-me mode )
