Here is my take on the H

You had an excellent "virgin" flight. Lots and lots of little flights, tend
to keep the bird in one piece and no parts bill. Not to mention what
these things can do to humans...........or even a little puppy. Nothings more
important than actually knowing how to fly. Practice doing 8's and boxes,
large and small. Run that thing 50 yards at 4 feet off the ground.[back and forth]
Few really master the flying part......don't be one of them.

BTW: It would be super cool if you could bounce your H off the hood of a red Camaro
..............just sayin'
I have "almost " mastered the P2-3-4's, but this baby will take some baby steps in time before I even need my DBS Range Extender, THe color of my Camaro is Metallic Inferno Orange by Autel! LOL;)

Congrats on the maiden. Did you say you took her up to 400ft on the maiden flight? I would not have the balls for that especially after the ordeal you went through to get off the ground.

Good info on turning the camera off. No idea why you would need it as you can just take it off if you don't want it on...

No way! I had her up about 100' on her maiden, I have to gain this womans trust before I can let her go !

Ah, good. Must admit I only skim read your original post. Way too long for my short attention span :)

Yeah! way to long to write it too!, but I wanted you all to experience everything I did as if you were there! Try to be more brief in my next reviews and hopefully only have to say one word "Perfect" !

Simon had better watch out, you will be stealing some of his thunder! That was an excellent review and we will all be looking forward to your next flights. Thanks for sharing the small tips which will be helpful.

I had been waiting for your experience during the whole evening but had to go to bed before you got it posted. Glad to see it this morning but you have to be sleep deprived as you are already up and at it again.

I had the Q out last night during intermission of the hockey game. Guys were all oooing and ahhhing. Wait till they see the H! Took it all the way up and showed them the screen on the ST10. Trying to sell it so I can pay for my H so I really tried to impress the guys :)

LOL I've only had my Q a week.. I was so PO'ed waiting for the H i bought on.. Still learning to fly it!

I have read others say the H's batteries do not give percentage left because they are not smart batteries like the Phantom 4's. I may be wrong but I recall others saying you have to estimate remaining charge by the voltage readout.

Doesn't have to be a smart battery to get all the info on battery status.
Hopefully, the H has a built-in current/voltage sense module to be able to do this. Capacity remaining based on voltage is not a good idea IMO

The early bird gets the worm! , I meant H ! Like a 59 year old kid at Christmas ! can't sleep thinking about all the if's and do's!. Thanks, but I don't have a Kitchen Table, only a counter LOL, Simon is very helpful !

After 4 hours of setting up and checking her out , here is what I can say:
Awesome! Flew like an Angel of God! no flight issues, no bad experience, Loved it!
But.... Let me say this:
1) Two thin wires sticking out of fan vents, stressed me for 1/2 hour, found out they are supposed to be there so don't fret!.
2). Gimbal calibration went perfect- after I realized that in Lee's video she states main status light will be solid GREEN, it will , if you calibrate in 'Smart" mode, I never recommend flying in that mode(26' Circle of Death" lives there!. So since I had it switched to "Angle" mode , could not get status light to be solid green, instead solid purple. Freak me out I did not have a good calibration. Another 1/2 later realized its okay to calibrate in Angle Mode, but you will get a solid Purple, not Green main status light. No problem, she's ready to go!.
3) Not quite!, After turning on the controller first, then the H all booted up correctly , except I could not get a camera feed to my controller from the camera!. Called Yuneec they ran me though the loops and loops, took gimbal off, put it back on. Went into system setting and re-linked controller to H, it worked, then it didn't. Then did more loop de loos and it worked so I said good bye to tech support. Took her out and fired controller first, the H, s**t, no camera feed again. So had a cold beer and scratched my head, and guess what? !. All this fricken time I was turning her on like a Phantom 3/4. Push On button once then twice. Excuse ME, Will not work for the H. I was turning the H on doing it twice, but on the second push I was turning the camera OFF!. So H on and camera was off, thus no feed!. Do not turn H on but with one push and 2 second hold, H will come on and them camera tiny LED above lens will blink GREEN and walla! camera feed to ST16.
4). Took her to field buy my home and flew her perfectly!!! Amen!.
Now do not **** on my video, shot in 4K, Just alittle baby flight in and she flew perfectly, tomorrow I will let her rip!
Oh! one issue was landing gear would not go up, just shook alittle , but would not raise!. I fiqiured she may have got her HOT LEGS jammed in shipment so I brought to the ground with a light bump on landing, and hallelujah! Landing gear work like cake!. My video has no adjustments as I have not even fiqured out how to do anything yet on the camera or a hundred other functions.
Forgive my long BS, but you asked and you received!
LOVE HER !
Sounds good D.C. I'm glad I'm a Yuneec product owner cause it's all the same, color of the lights and everything,I will find out today if I'm even going to go ahead and get one now,I'm gonna pin them on a exact date and if they can't deliver this week,I wish all good luck and HAPPY flying. For what I was going to use the H for so many other machines could take its place, ole 707 has been Humbullied enough.

Congrats on "finally" having the Typhoon and a safe evening flight!

I had problems with the camera connecting as well, but everything was on (drone/controller). It seems that if I turned everything off & took out, then put back the micro SD, everything connected fine.

I had a similar landing gear experience. Took off on first flight, flicked the landing gear switch and.... nothing. I looked at toggle switch on controller and I saw that it was in the "landing gear up" position. So flicked it down then back up and all was fine.

Drone Clone, here is my take on my first flight with this baby:

I was not able to see a battery percentage of the drones battery life, only the voltage. Is there a setting for that?
Also I did not see a flight time counter neither. A buddy of mine has a P4 and you can see all those things even a flight pattern map and records of his flights.

Overall, amazing maiden flight and experience. I can not wait to get back out there and fly it some more !!!!!

Anyone else know where the copters battery life indicator is?

I also let mine rip on my maiden flight. Got her up to 400 ft and it stopped there. Also got it to about 30 mph and she was going. Weather has been horrible all day here on the east coast so I have just been reading manuals etc. One question I did have, does anyone know what the micro usb port on the camera and the H itself are for ? Thanks !!!!
