As far as photography goes, this is as good as it gets for under $1500. The next level would be in the $5000-$10,000 range for something big enough to carry a dslr cam. I would assume for any kind of surveying or inspection you would need something that can zoom and plot waypoints of which this does neither. Range is about 1/3 mile (very limited by comercial standards)

Yeah, it looks like that's the going price everywhere now. I bought from Hobby Town here in Tacoma wa. for $1450 about 7 months ago. Wish I would have waited, but if I did, I would have just spent more anyway on the Typhoon H
