I wondered what was going on this week. I ride out to Merritt Island pretty often and during the shuttle missions they close the road off so no one can get out there, the road I take passes less than an 1/8 of a mile from the end of the Nasa Runway. Two days ago, I was going over to the island and a trooper stopped me and said road closed, wouldn't tell me why, now we know. Very cool. We live just about 25 miles from the runway and got a good boom.
