Soft Backpack mod for Itelite DBS

Soft Backpack mod for Itelite DBS

Im thinking about replacing my stock antennas with the new DBS (3 antenna model) and was concerned about having to remove it each time I pack up...
Your mod seems straight forward. The only item cut is the top foam to allow room for the DBS, correct? (and you pack the radio with the antenna facing up as opposed to down as it origionally shipped...) Are there any other issues to be aware of?

      Thanks!

the DBS is fantastic item. I have put some small foam under the hole to take a little bit care of the DBS for no scratches. And the hole need some xtra space for movement of OPEN/CLOSE the backpack.

do you use europe or us firmware on typhoon h?

Im in the States with US firmware. My reason for the antenna mods (like many others) is to get better consistency on the video reception.

since i use the us firmware and dbs antenna (2connects first on 2 antenna st16 then switched to new st16 and connect to left and middle the dbs) i have a very stable connection.

      1km without issue...
but take care to point with the antenna on your typhoon...when i go above the st16 without point on bird in 100 meter i have get a little flickr

      Hello Eric,

One additional question; did you remove any foam from the bottom insert?

      thanks!
