First Law of Drones
If you are in the middle of the Sahara desert, and there is one solitary tree about three miles away . . . . . . . . . .you're going to hit it.

Tree.. . . .. . . Device used for stopping drones.
I have now concluded that, for some reason, I now need to calibrate the compass before every flight.
I never needed to do this before when flying in the same field. It would seem that the compass is now "forgetting" its calibrated settings from one day to the next.
I wonder where the...
Thank you very much for that.
So with GPS Ready I'm good to go.
I still have the problem of Lost GPS though, even with 18 satellites on the drone and 12 on the controller.
Hopefully, calibration and binding again might fix it.
Cheers.
Thank you. I have calibrated the compass. Still no GPS lock.
Does the GPS status on the screen have to say GPS LOCK while flying? Mine will only show GPS Ready.
After about 50 flights, my Q500 4k will not hold GPS LOCK.
Starts off in GPS lock sometimes but quickly changes to GPS Ready and has begun to lose GPS completely now, requiring a sweaty manual return to base and landing.
I have tried the proverbial everything. It has never done this before...
Just started setting up for the season.
Hooked up my ST10+ to a 2AMP charger (I used this charger last year successfully).
ST10 blue charging light started flashing to indicate that the unit was charging normally.
Blue light became solid after about 25 minutes to indicate a full charge...
OK, here's the Second Law of flying drones.
If you are happily flying your drone and your wife is watching, you will invariably experience ....
Lost GPS
Inexplicable low battery warning
Lost prop
Lost WIFI signal
Bird strike
Flyaway
All of the above
Quite happy with the results using my Q500+./ CGO2
I do find however that video sharpness is overdone at 50fps.
Although not a major problem, I was wondering is there was any post processing program available where I could correct this.
Thanks.
