Have you tried plugging in the little connector cord from the camera to the bird? I had the same issue it would not show up as connected --plugged in the little patch cord and it showed up. Then I bind it to the ST10 and it works. Funny thing it worked without the patch cord prior --go figure.

Try calibrating your controller. Mine drifted left and after calibation it's steady.
