The 5 motor mode can level the drone, but with the separated motor flailing could not control it. A simple motor failure could still be landed successfully but not in this case. The connection was lost due to the impact and water immersion.

Nope! The battery's the original and it charged up just fine. I put it on my balance charger right after the crash, cycled it then put a storage charge on it. I had it flying today after the updates and calibration.

Both updated, calibrated, and briefly tested ok. I need to charge up my only battery now for some real testing.

I got the H back at last! It even has a test flight report. They replaced the entire craft plus another 10 props plus another 12v charge cable so now I've got a, hopefully, lifetime supply. I'll do the update today on the transmitter and see how she runs.

The problem is that the motor is still connected and running but at an varying angle that overcomes the control mechanisms. In my video you can momentarily see the propeller as the motor pod twists itself off the arm. If the motor had just shut down the H could fly on the other 5.

Check the rivets that hold the motor pod on. Maybe even add some packing tape to secure them. One of my motors came loose in flight, crashing the drone.

I believe you can get heat shrink large enough. I would probably just wrap with packing tape. It's light and strong with good grip.

I don't think it's possible to fit bolts as there is no access to the inside of the tube when the pod is on, hence the blind rivets.

Google Pop Rivet, you'll get lots of info and pictures. It's on the bottom of the motor mount where it pushes onto the motor arm. There's a hole in the carbon fiber tube that the rivet passes thru and locks the motor mount in place. If it comes out, there's only friction and the wiring holding...

I use Avegant Glyph. I can see around them to a limited extent. They're plug-n-play 720p into the transmitter's HDMI port. They are great for watching 3d movies. Hopefully someone will integrate their head tracking capability to control the H camera.

I won't order any items if the vendor insists on UPS. USPS items almost always come with NO extra charges. Postal deliveries from China never seem to have extra charges, although they take 3-6 weeks to get here (Canada).

Just did the new updates and now the ST16 display stays on in full screen mode when HDMI is connected. I guess Yuneec listens to our requests :-)
