This might help: (From the specs on their page) Weight = 7.18g (Stock Lens = 5.5g) Only 1.68 grams heavier than using stock lens. I would think this is OK, no? The Polar Pro filters weigh 4.06 grams each and I have been using them with no problems.

The landing gear is beefy enough to handle the foam. I don't see any reason why you couldn't retract the landing gear. As mentioned by others, I wouldn't land on water intentionally. Only reason to do something like the foam would be to allow a recovery from water after a forced landing...

I looked at this option and decided the deploy time was much too long. Also, I'm not sure it would lift the H after it sank. I think this is a better idea:
