Mortalis

Self taught (actually, Dad taught) woodworker that works as a Manufacturing/Quality Engineer to support my family and my hobbies.
I like to golf although as a once a week golfer is tough to get better. I've been interested with and lightly involved in RC for over 45 - 50 years. My first experience was with an orange Cox Dune Buggy. Not really R/C but had a Cox fuel motor and would run on its own.
I've owned model boats which I build myself, flatop cars, all terrain cars/trucks but never owned a craft that would leave the ground as its designed purpose. Along came quadcopters and my interest peaked. I bought a Dromida Ominus (too big to fly in MY house, a ProtoX nano (fun to fly but again low cielings in the house not great for flying), then my wife noticed my peaked interest and a year later bought me a Q500 4K for my birthday. While the Q was in for repairs and the 'H' was being delayed I purchased an Aton. I outfitted the Aton with FPV and have been using that when the weather permits but it's not set up for aerial photography which is what I seem to lean towards with the quads.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Oh yes, I am a cat person.
