Push both toggle switches to the right and you will go into a manual orbit mode. The trick is to limit the size of the circle, which I am still working on.

Taking off in Smart Mode does not work for me. I always use Angle Mode unless the battery is starting to drain or if there is some kind of telemetry problem.
