    I have tried those and others. It is possible that it may be due to the combined graphics on board. Even so I would have thought modern chips more than capable of handing the processing requirements

    It's the simple mod I have gone with. Cable/adàpters and battery costing less than a q500 battery. I shall see how I go on. Cheers folks.

    Just wondering if there is still a source for the conversion adapter. As an aside did people get into 3d printing parts in the day. Have to ask as I am new to this hobby. Be interesting to see if it can be done and that would be the excuse I need to buy a printer.
