I'm pretty sure when you put it into Smart Mode you were too low so it immediately rose away from the ground. I'm not exact on the altitude numbers (I'm a noob owner myself), but in Smart Mode it won't go below 20 or 30 feet. Post your log, there are really smart guys around here.

Granted, I'm a IT guy, but I literally had my Typhoon H Pro for 18 hours before the flyaway and just joined Exmaps yesterday -- Exmaps is pretty easy. Just upload the file that starts with Telemetry_, that is the file it uses. It took me a few tries to figure that one out. :)
