O got the notification on my phone prior to binding, so the firmware was all downloaded and ready when I did the first bind.

Guitar. If you're in the UK and using Android then DO upgrade the firmware, its literally just been released days ago and early indications are that its a lot better than the previous version.

Took mine out for a quick spin today, operated perfectly. My heart skipped a beat only once when the app (Android) crashed on my phone, but it was 30+ degrees. The drone was low enough to literally grab out the air and turn the battery off. Aside from that little thrill all went well.

You'd still need the joypad to control I think.

LOL..... Yeah, apparently if GPS is left on while you're indoors it will go mad trying to find where it is. Also be aware of the bottom sensor, if your hand goes under the drone apparently it'll also shoot of either up or in one direction. The birthday is a 8 year olds.... Trust me.... I'll...

You did remember to turn GPS off didn't you? I took mine to the local park, but just kept it close and at eye level as I'd read about the firmware problems so didn't fancy watching it vanish into the trees. Then tried a second hover inside, both were faultless, but dull. Keen to send it up/out...
