Installed the shorty gps mount and although It did not acquire any quicker than pre-install, I received zero compass errors. This was with a standard battery inserted. It was getting a bit too windy for comfort so I packed up prior to testing with the battery adapter and larger battery inserted.

Thanks for the post. I am anxious to install mine but I have been busy working on my kitchen. I will test it with and without the battery adapter that is from the same seller and let you all know if I have the same results. What's the worst that can happen? lol I went with the 8000mah battery...
