Battery Pin Out - Possible to measure IR?

If you buy the TH battery plug that @Phaedrus mentions and use it with the battery meter linked below, you can keep good track of your batteries health...

    Ultrax Battery Rapid Voltage Drop

I charged up both of the new "181104" Ultra X batteries and flew them earlier today... After set-up and checklist completion, I took off and hovered low, watching the battery voltage. The voltage was stable and I kept the H close and didn't take it up very high. I'm usually on the ground by...

    Ultrax Battery Rapid Voltage Drop

Thanks for the insight. I'll recheck them tomorrow after test flights and cooling to room temperature to see what IR readings they end up at. Todd

    Ultrax Battery Rapid Voltage Drop

@PatR - with my charger set-up, I have four seperate charging/balancing leads and have used different leads with different batteries during testing. I still end up with the IR readings I posted earlier. Todd

    Ultrax Battery Rapid Voltage Drop

@DoomMeister and @PatR - You are correct as my Tenergy battery checker reads out in milliohms (ie .010 ohms) but I mistakenly failed to type it in in decimal format. Well, my two new replacement Ultra X batteries arrived this evening at a storage voltage of 15.21v and 15.28v with what appears...

    Ultrax Battery Rapid Voltage Drop

Under the latching tab on the back of both batteries are the numbers "180727" so I'm guessing that may mean a manufacture date of July 27, 2018. There is also a QR code under the tab that I scanned and did an internet search for but nothing came up. The only other numbers on the batteries is a...

    Ultrax Battery Rapid Voltage Drop

So I finally received my Tenergy Battery test tool today and was able to IR test both the new Ultra X batteries that I had issues with (that lead to this thread) as well as my stock Yuneec batteries. Here are the results: Ultra X battery 1: cell 1- 19 ohms, cell 2- 5 ohms, cell 3- 10 ohms and...

    New typhoon H battery

Not trying to hijack a thread or bash Ultra X (waiting on two "new ones" to arrive) but thought I would link this thread here as an FYI for anyone that hasn't seen it. This is a recent issue that at least three members on here have experienced with the Ultra X that were purchased from Amazon...

    Ultrax Battery Rapid Voltage Drop

@OldHire I just bought my replacement batteries from them through Amazon also. Hopefully this next set will be usable... I went directly to the Gensace & Tattu website to buy them as they had them listed on sale for just under $62.00 each. Their website wasn't allowing me to add them to the...

    Ultrax Battery Rapid Voltage Drop

@PatR I agree with your statements 100%. I usually try to buy parts from the manufacturer but there were a number of reasons that lead me to buy these batteries from Amazon Prime.... Being somewhat new to Yuneec (my experiance has been with SenseFly products) I was trying to find a good...

    Ultrax Battery Rapid Voltage Drop

@PatR When I bought mine from Amazon Prime, they were ~$125. for the pair. Ebay was about $10 more with additional shipping (at that particular time). Gens Tattu has a sale on them now with free shipping; that's where my replacement batteries will come from... Thanks, Todd
