Yuneec Sucks, Everything About Them Sucks

It's so discouraging to hear this especially #1s original complaint. The Drone Clones previous posts have always been an encouragement and I've learned a lot from him experience. So this has to be really bad for him to voice this discontent like he has. As a new pilot, I am extremely hesitant in...

    Satellites

Of course my questions were ones of wonderment, intrigue and let's not forget humor. I did take a look at Wikipedia and 5 minutes into reading I realized that I really didn't care about all this technical stuff. I think most people have no clue how GPS works nor do most people really care. All...

Just how important is the KP index

That is an outstanding explanation and I only said what I said because in previous posts nobody gave me a sound explaination that stressed the importance of this. I had downloaded an app and one day it read a 6 but it was a beautiful day, sun shinning etc. So I did fly and of course I had no...

    HOW FAR IS TO FAR

I suppose an added question is... If flying and you are out to far and you cannot see it visually but have an idea where it is and you instantly loose you video. At this point is the only option to switch to Return To Home? Loosing video doesn't mean you lost GPS also. Is this correct?

Just how important is the KP index

I don't think it matters that much. I flew when it said 6 and it was a sunny day

    Satellites

When we fire up our quad we look to see how many satellites its reading. It could be 10 maybe 12 or 15 and sometimes even more. It seems these signals can be received no matter where you are in the world. Does anyone ever wonder just how many satellites there are in this area around our globe. I...

Just how important is the KP index

William, I appreciate your answering but I don't think you read my request. Your explanation probably is all the correct answer but you'd have to be a Atmospheric Scientific Engineer or a Climatoligist. I said I don't care about that stuff . In addition, in the end you never answered the one...

    HOW FAR IS TO FAR

i have a Q500+ and I believe it is set up to only fly certain distance. I remember reading that in smart mode it will only fly out 300 feet. I don't fly in this mode at all. I have taught myself to fly in angle mode and am pretty good at navigating in thinking quick which way to turn in order...

Just how important is the KP index

i just downloaded an app called Solar Sphere. This app tells me the KP index. I've heard people mentioning this so it was easy enough to download. Currently I'm in my New Hamphire summer home. It 75 degrees, no wind and the sun is shining. It seems to be a perfect fly day. This KP index thing...

Top accessories to have with the Q500+

Some accessories I'm looking to buy is a cover for the start button, to often without looking I hit the start button instead of the camera button by mistake. I don't think the prop guards will really do much. Windy days I hover and grab the typhoon. It takes a few times to get confident. I want...

    GPS Tracker advise

Thanks guys for your input . They seem light enough, only like 1.5 oz.

    GPS Tracker advise

it seems like good idea to have a tracker on the Q-500 in the event of a fly away. Does anyone have a recommendation. I've studied this and it's all over the place to include units that are counterfeit . Then you find a tracker with a few hundred reviews with very convoluted answers. You'll...

    CHARGER DIFFERENCES

I watched that neat video that Frank did at Carolina Dronz. He compared three different batteries where he put one of each battery in a Q 500 and flew all three of them at the same time to see which one would and First and one of the batteries he used was the venom 7000 mA batteries and that's...

    CHARGER DIFFERENCES

Oh thanks again KB. You told me some things that I remember reading months ago about the time factors involved with landing procedures. I will make a mental note to exercise decent to the 100/140 foot range and remember that within 4/5 minutes later I will hear and feel 2nd warning and to...
