    Accelerometer Calibration

I should have written quotes around the "mistake". My point was that there is actual functionality for calibrating _something_ in the bird that is available under "accelerometer calibration" and performed in flight and is thus consistent with the procedure written in manual. What and how is...

    Accelerometer Calibration

While reading the debates whether the manual is wrong and what is the industry standard, i started to wonder about the other thing - the aircraft is capable of performing calibration (of something) both in the air and on the ground. So the same mistake must have been made in the software :) ...

Quite a lot of core android stuff runs under it. It's a system user as the name suggests. I can only guess it may be needed to access radio hardware and have control over wifi. Thus i think you will not get away with just re-signing (a lot of) other applications. Android security part 1...

I didn't know that it was using a shared user user. And yes, when under shared user they need to be signed with the same key. So, unless you find the signing key or are willing to modify your system even more it's a dead end. For me it personally crosses the threshold of what i'd be ready to...

Unless my memory fails me you don't need to uninstall anything. Replace the APK file in '/system/app' (or whatever the path was). Just back up the old one in case something goes wrong. Unless it checks the APK signature against the platform key you should be good to go. You may need to remount...

    Compass calibr. or not?

After having a few toiletbowls (one of them rather violent) i calibrate it now quite often. Usually between series of flights when it has been sitting idle for a week or so. I don't know how much it helps, but both of those incidents happened with "good" calibrations that i intended on...

I think it's already "rooted". Running 'adb shell' and issuing 'su' gives you root shell. Be careful not to bork it though. I have no idea how to put it in fastboot and where to get flashable images (i admit not having looked into those .yuneec files)

    CGO3+ lens replacement adventures

Well, "off topic" because initially the topic was about me having the problems with camera not starting. I've changed the subject since :) And i've written everywhere 8.33, but actually i meant the Peau 8.25. Mixed up numbers a bit.

Attached one full-res image processed to my liking. Gimbal seems to hold it steady *enough*, but it's not smooth anymore and definitely will need stabilization in post-processing. That's one thing i need to try if or how well it will work. I'll let you know or post a sample when i'm done...

    CGO3+ lens replacement adventures

Slightly off topic, but still. When at first i was unable to properly align and focus the pixAero 6mm i made an emotional purchase and ordered the Peau 8.33. Yesterday i installed it. To my surprise it didn't need the sticky-tape trickery. And while it also has some extreme-edge softness, the...

I'm also skeptical about it. I might be wrong, because i haven't found anything about it in the manual, but from the looks of it this so called "raw" mode attempts to be similar to others' (x-)Log mode, so this probably is the mode one was intended to apply the LUTs to. All others - "natural...

    CGO3+ lens replacement adventures

No, I use DNG for actual shooting. I used JPG for focus adjustment, but with the setting "Raw", as it seems to generate JPG without any "niceties" (sharpness, saturation, etc), which was good for focus checking. How i did it is that i "roughly" focused using the ST16 display, then made some...

    CGO3+ lens replacement adventures

Yeah, that's exactly what i mean. But finally i managed to successfully align the 3.77mm using the same method and now it is giving a better picture than the stock. Will try again with the 6mm. I went full idiot with it for a day also, as i mixed up the sides and was adjusting the wrong one. Not...

    CGO3+ lens replacement adventures

Thanks. Glad you managed to solve your problem too. However now i'm battling with a new issue - the sensor and lens are slightly misaligned. And applying some tape under the mount sides cures it a little, but the result is still far from perfect. And i'm all out of ideas what else to try (if...

    CGO3+ lens replacement adventures

Got it working. It was a case of bad connection, and the culprit was the socket on the sensor board for the ribbon cable between sensor board and the main board. After taking a dozen of macro photos of it i found out that a pin was slightly bent and this did not allow the retainer to properly...
