Altitude limitation?

I still do not have an exact answer.
I have spent one month with email at Yuneec! If it takes 7 days to
reply, I cannot bring myself to call them!!!
So here - There was a 'waiver' I emailed them hoping for in return, a code
to set to the GUI allowing over 400 foot agl limit. This is what their link
explained, so I complied.
Finally receive the last email from Yuneec stating now this: "There is
no altitude restriction for the H."
What is the answer? Can I just run the GUI and simply change
the agl from 400 ft, 122 meters, to something higher?
2. I fly rc heli, and do not use SMART MODE. Thus, in ANGLE mode
is there a geo-fence or NFZ - or does that only WORK in SMART?
Thank you.

I just plugged in to check it out and the only limits are 2500m geo-fence and 1000m height. See screenshot.

Have you not tried the GUI yet? Plug it in and change the height limit. Job done. The limit was removed in the latest firmware, or should I say the "lock" on the GUI limit setting was removed.

Thanks Nick! I am running 3.04, B30, and had let Y CS know via email
requesting the waiver. Apparently the support person didn't know.
He could have just told me b30 released the limit.
Thank you, this was the answer I was looking for.
Been really hot and windy here so when the weather lightens up
we will get the system into the sky.

Hello, I haven't been in the forums for a few months. I remember I had to downgrade to Auto Pilot 1.29 to be able change my altitude preferences GUI. So I can upgrade to the latest software now and still be able to modify my altitude settings as needed? Thanks!

Thanks for asking Pat.. After the limit reset to 800 feet agl she
still bogs at 399 feet. Is there a wisdom in autopilot 1.29 as
just mentioned? I will give it another shot over the weekend.

The early firmware did not gave an altitude cap. It came in a later firmware version. I'm not sure which one.

I'd give my no waiver bird a shot but having a 107 and commercial registration I'd be a fool to post any result exceeding 400'...

However, after a brief test with AP firmware v1.3, System firmware ST16_system_V03.01.b27, and transmitter firmware ST16_tx_v00.24 I can say the max altitude capped out on mine at 390'. I have not upgraded to system firmware .b30 yet with that unit.

Yea, I knew I wasn't using the most current firmware.

In a bit of a hurry when you selected the model type at the Yuneec downloads page?

From the Yuneec downloads page the version series should read:
Controller Firmware
ST16 Controller STD v03.01.b30

Version v03.01.b30
Warning
To gain features listed in this new firmware update please make sure your autopilot version is v1.29 or above and gimbal version is v1.25 or above.

MORE: it may have been in the GUI 1.1.8, when i saw st24.
Here is my FW: Sversion: st16_system_v03.01.b30
APK: st16_app_v01.00.45 (Q: What is APK?)
Autopilot V: V1.35 Ty H, Gim: V1.25, Cam V3.2.34(A) C-GO3-pro no Real sense. <note "Pro!"
My H fly's simply superb. I take video at one step down from 4K (3.8K at 30fps)
Got 4 stock batts and one extra 3.7 v for the TX
Charger: 120UP dual duo. 45 -60 min on the H batt @ 5.7 amps input rate, one at a time to 16.6

Next: in AIL and ELEV I changed rates to the broken curve at: 100, 75, 50, 30, 15 both sides.
But did not notice a difference near center stick. Rabbit mode. I may bring that 15 and 30 down
a bit more to 10 and 20 near center to see if that helps.
