Gimbal works fine, however, I failed to notice the camera light is steady red after start up. I assume this is where the problem starts.
The old camera showed up on the WIFI list before the forget and after restart. Keeps showing back up. Even with both camera not mounted.
On the binding screen the button below box says Reset and is not active. I can only use the pinwheel. The old camera will show up when I remount it, the new one does not. Just says No SSDs found.
"I failed to notice the camera light is steady red after start up."
There are two likely candidates. The WiFi board and either of the two Main ribbons that run in series.
If there is no external evidence of damage, I don't have a reliable way to distinguish between the two failures other than replace the suspect parts. Someone such as
@Enrico Jorysch may know a better way.
Ribbon damage can happen from anything resulting in uncontrolled relative movement of the camera sections, including if the camera was not properly packaged or handled roughly during shipment.
However, the ribbons are pretty much non-existent as spare parts now. If you find them, they will likely be expensive. They are difficult to replace, and it is easy to damage the new ribbons during installation.
The WiFi Board is relatively inexpensive, pretty easy to find, and not much trouble to install as long as you work carefully when snapping out and in the ribbon connector. If you are going to do self-repair, this is the better first attempt.
Note that swapping the WiFi board from the working camera might reveal the problem, but it runs the risk of damaging the working camera. Most folks, including me, would not consider that worth the risk unless you have an urgent need to get this camera in working shape.
