Calibration

Hi jag75 I am new to the q500+ but if I am wright you only need to calibrate if you have changed your elevation from sea level considerable, or if you have moved from one state to another by plane then I would do it just to be on the safe side as it would be gut renching to lose your drone.

If you are referring to the U.S. check this map. Each line represents one degree of compass variation. Each time you travel more than 2 degrees I would recommend doing the compass calibration. If you see an orange flashing status light do the cal immediately. More importantly, when you have moved a significant distance allow the a few extra minutes, with the motors off, for the GPS to finish updating.
