Hey Guys,

VERY new drone flyer here, and of course, I crashed it.

I just got my Q500 4K Friday, and crashed it into a tree, it feels about two feet into about 4 inches of snow. All the blades broke (thank God I know how fix those), but when I hooked it up to GUI to test the motors, motors 3 & 4 worked and tested, but then immediately failed. I can't test and assign them like I was able to Friday and Saturday.

Am I looking at having to replace those due to water damage, probably?

When you were connected to the GUI and assigning ESC's, did you spin the motor by hand as directed ?
Does the GUI give you any specific message ? "Unable to locate" or something like that ?
I doubt you have messed up the motors and more so the ESC's if anything. I also doubt that's the problem but it's possible. The Q is a pretty hearty bird and can take a bit of abuse. I've had mine fall from the sky from much higher and other than broken plastic, the electronics were okay.
Keep us updated and good luck.
Jafo
