Compass calibration issue

I have travelled a fair distance to a new location and need to re calibrate.
My H is telling me to land immediately and calibrate the compass even though it is on the ground, however when I press the Calibrate>Compass touchscreen button on the ST16 although it lights up as having been pressed, the calibration process does not begin and I am unable to calibrate and hence fly.
Any suggestions?

Strange, took it indoors and it allowed me to initiate the calibration. Oh well nevermind.

When you calibrate i was told make sure your craft is pointed magnetic north. I always carry a compass for that reason.

Mine did same. Had to call them and reset controller and rebind and then it calibrated
