When I connect the controller to a computer (instead on Android) I see:

[868155.033946] usb 1-6: USB disconnect, device number 24
[868159.448012] usb 1-6: new high-speed USB device number 25 using xhci_hcd
[868159.597216] usb 1-6: New USB device found, idVendor=1d6b, idProduct=0105, bcdDevice= 3.10
[868159.597222] usb 1-6: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0
[868159.597225] usb 1-6: Product: USB Function Filesystem
[868159.597228] usb 1-6: Manufacturer: Linux 3.10.0 with dwc_otg_pcd

Does anyone here know what it takes to get to connect to the controller's network interface as Android does ?

Are you referring to a Windows based PC?

When you connect to an Android are you running Yuneec Pilot app?

What is it you are trying to accomplish by connecting to your computer?

Linux PC.
Reasons:
Still be able to use controller
Better range than stock antennas in a laptop.
Ability to use QGC as GCS, and fork live mavlink stream, and video to OpenCV and machine learning.
