today I was flying with no problems but when I switched to home mode one of the props broke off a blade at 180meters, I watch it spin and shake as it came crashing to the ground. Has any one else had a similar problem and are carbon fiber blades a better choice.

If you crash from 180m, I do not believe you need new blades

Carbon blades are very strong, but be sure to check because most need to be balanced.

Well I have carbon blades and 1 pops off every bad landing as they should but mid air...maybe didnt screw on tight enough. Watched a video of a flyer in italy whose prop flew off soon after he landed and he said (paraphrasing) "self tighting, i wouldnt trust make sure YOU screw them on fairly tight" an i agree.
