EDIT: Mantis Server is Now Functional !!!

The server is finally functional again. When you register your new Mantis use today December 30 as your purchase date to start your warranty. Your system has not been fully functional due to their server being offline. Happy flying with your new Mantis.


I have no idea what is going on with Yuneec’s server for the Mantis platform, but it has been nonfunctional for at least a week now. I sent info via Chat, but no response in my email as of yet.

Come on Yuneec !!!! Get your stuff together. What makes you think customers are going to sit on a $400 to $700 purchase for weeks while you get your ducks in a row?

I’m getting tired of trying to explain away your negligence to your customers! I am not bashing you, I am attempting to wake you from your stupor and get you walking down the path to good customer care.

Yes, horrible experience! So excited to use the drone over the holidays but it was all a waste. Wasted time and wasted opportunities, nothing but frustration. Worst part was the person who gave me the present feels really bad about it, but it's not her fault. Not a big fan of Yuneec at the moment.
 
It makes no sense to me, the servers were fine up until about a week ago.

The board of directors for Yuneec need to oust the owner and CEO and call for a return of her ex-husband to the helm of this business. We want Yu back in Yuneec!!!
 
The Best signal to send.... return the item to the retailer and get your money back.... if they wish to stay in business they will fire those in charge of the failure and fix it post haste.
 
I was told they left it expire on Google Play and npow it will take sometime before it can be put back on. I think it still is available using the Apple platform.
 
I've been wondering if there was an issue just got a mantis-q for Christmas and wasn't able to update it at all tried with both android and iOS. I submitted a service request, has anyone heard from Yuneec on why there is no connectivity.

I was able to get past the New Firmware message, so I can actually fly the drone and use the menu items.

I can still download and use apple play, not just android. Was told they let android on google play expire but hope to get it back shortly although it will take awhile.

I guess you missed this response Update work around found in the other thread where you posted the same thing. The Android version is on their website for download, just not on Google Play Store.

That has nothing to do with this thread that is dealing with the server being down that takes care of logins and updates for the Mantis.
 
In the end I ended up returning the drone. I tried the workaround and was able to connect but had problems calibrating the compass. Never heard back from support. There's a lot of other choices on the market so don't need to put up with these problems. Just wanted to thank everyone on this forum for their help. Too bad Yuneec's standards don't match the high caliber of its users.

I still can't get my mantis Q to connect
 
Jerry make sure your phone has internet access, then open Yuneec Pilot app. In the upper right corner tap on the “bust” icon. Then register yourself and login in. Once you are successfully logged in, use the Video Academy to learn more about binding, updating, etc.

See this thread Mantis Q software update for more about registering and login.
