I have been away from this site for awhile. I have a new GIFI Power 7000mAH Lipo that I got from Carolina Drones. It arrived half full. I charged it up to 16.6 and test flew it. With video running and mild manuvers, small amount of wind, it flew 9+30. Now I usually land at 14.7V. I realize I might get another minute if I flew it down to 14.6 but I try to take good care of my batteries.
So I charged it up to 16.6 again and flew it today. 60 degrees, video running, 10kts of wind, and more manuvering than the first time. Similar conditions to the first test flight. Got 9+20. Then I flew a Ultra X 6300mAH that was only 6 months old with not much time on it. Got 10+02. ( 14.7 ) I keep good records of my battery usage and looking back almost 2 years there have only been 2 times that I have seen over 12min. Is this normal? What are you guys seeing? Mind you that I land at 14.7V A guy who flies a DGI Maverick came by and told me his groups gets up to 30 min on their drones. How can that be? Yes they have 2 less engines but geeez....
Last question. IS there a App that Yuneec makes for a Android phone that allows you to record the video files onto the phone? Thanks! BTW, this is a Typhoon H 420

Any reason you are not charging to 16.8v ?

12 minutes is about right for flying down to 14.7. That's what I get when I am battling moderate wind. On perfectly calm days with minimal movement and no sharp climbs you can get longer; up to 24 mins has been reported but that is rare. The mavic does last longer, because it is lighter and has 4 motors. That is a whole third less than ours, so makes quite some difference, but we get the corollary benefit of our craft being much more capable in difficult wind.

I am unaware of any app that records the St-16 - the way to get video out of there is via the hardware HDMI on the back of it. If you can link that to your phone, then you can record that screen or just get a small DVR for $40 you can strap to the back of the controller.

Thanks for the reply. The dual battery charger automaticlly turns off at 16.6V Had it for over a year now.

I use a charger where I can choose at what volt per cell the charger shall quit charging. Either 4,19 or up to 4,25 per cell balance charging. The charger is now set at 4,21 per cell wich gives a total at 16,84. The batterypack is then not stressed to it’s limit with high temperature and the risc for blowing up like a balloon.

Do you have a link?

You need a power supply to use this kind of charger because input voltage is between 7-32 V. You also need the special cable to connect to the batteries.

Thank you.

Decided to upload some pics. Charger says I am getting 16.8 but voltage tester says 16.16 and Transmiiter says 16.16 when I turn everything on prior to flt??

4.20 per cell gives you 16.8volts, the voltage testers can be a little off, I find the DY3 voltage accurate personally, it may a limitation of the battery, What did original Power 4 batteries show?

I have 12 H batteries, a combination of Yuneec and UltraX. Since getting the first H in May, 2016 16.6v - 16.7v is the max every one of them displayed on the ST-16 after using the factory and two different Hitec chargers.

The OP’s 16.6v is not unusual.

I don't think I've seen anything higher than 16.6/7 on my ST 16 either. Not worth worrying about.
