Does anyone (who live in cold weather states) think that hand warmers could work on keeping a drone warm. Weight is about 2 grams per warmer, and one covers a male hand.

2 pads (4 grams) would cover the outside of my breeze and stay around 65 degrees for hours.

I just might try

Just a thought

The only bit you really need to keep warm is the batteries and yes, hand warmers are good to pre-heat them - just stick one in the battery compartment in your bag. If you heat the whole craft, and then get it out in freezing conditions you might find yourself waiting half an hour for the lens to unfog !

Also, if you would put the warmers on the outside of the craft, most of the heat would just dissipate to the outside air without added insulation.
By the way, the Breeze is pretty good (too good) at heating itself once it is switched on...

Find a small Styrofoam beer cooler. Keep it inside your house. Before you go out to fly place your batteries inside.
Will keep them at room temp most of the day.

THAT could then also be a place to put a hand warmer in. People say that slightly warm - not hot - LiPos perform better.
