Wonder if anyone can point me in right direction to buy replacement gimble holder which I can find but also the base that attaches to the camera. The green cable snapped off completely and it be easier to just buy the complete unit in both parts or I will need to find electrician with a magnify glass to see where the cable goes in. Anyone know? I been so careful but I think I was showing off today and flew the h plus into a tree in sport mode. Should have allowed more time for stopping distance! I'll attach photos. Drone still OK other than camera connections. Hope you all having a great Christmas!!

Steve you have left me speechless! I mean really don't know what to say but thank you for your response within what? 10 minutes?!! We been looking at the drone and with that video I'm sure we can fix. I guess the part I can buy from the link you sent? I'm so grateful for the reply so quick and accurate and helpful. You are a star as are many of you guys on this forum. Can honestly say that this is the best forum that I have ever been a member of. For sure

If you plan to give it a try here is a link for the slip ring: Yuneec CGO3+ Slip Ring

There are some significant differences between the two cameras. The C23 shells snap together and are a bit difficult to get unsnapped. I don't have an edited video of removing the shell but the raw video links are below. The two tabs on the top of the shell broke during the removal.

Dropbox - 1.mp4
Dropbox - 2.mp4

When removing the rear cover you need to pull the rubber sd card slot cover out as far as possible.

There is 2 units as I can see one with the dampers and the top one where cables go into the craft. Can i not just buy both units to save time on delicate repair?

I don't think you can buy a complete top assembly. If you could buy it, the tasks necessary to install it are a lot more complicated and time consuming than just changing the slip ring. It would also subject you to potential damage of some relatively delicate connections and components.

Thank you for putting me on right track. So I will need to buy slip ring for the h plus from UK supplier a soldering iron I assume to re solder the cables to where they were and Phillips screwdriver and that's it do you think?

Yeah, those items, some solder, and a little flux. But I'm sensing you are not feeling really comfortable with this, and it's an awfully expensive bit of equipment to be using for a practice lesson. Sending to the shop is not really the end of the world, It's just a painful delay in the earths rotation.
If you choose to self repair, PLEASE do some practice soldering on something first.
And be aware my time zone is Eastern Standard, USA. I'm around a good bit, but don't panic if you send a message and I don't immediately reply. Such is the nature of a global forum.
Your greatest asset in this repair is PATIENCE. Don't get in a rush. If your temper flares, take time to recover. Works for a lot of things in life, but especially applicable in this kind of work.

If you "go for it" , best of luck, and we will be around if you need us. (unless it's 2AM local time)

Thank you again I'm going to try this repair with patience yes. I'll get flux the iron on amazon. I like to know how things work so I'll try before repair shop. Anyone know where I can buy slip ring in UK for the h plus? YUNEEC CGO3+ SLIP Ring. I think the cg03+ is correct for h plus. Any pointers with suppliers that have stock would be appreciated and in UK

You will need a slip ring assembly to repair this. It is a rather delicate process so if you aren't good with very small assemblies you should send the camera in for repair. Might want to try Terrestrial Imaging . Terrestrial Imaging Drone Sales, Service, Repair | Yuneec Authorized Repair for Your DJI and Yuneec Drone

The C23 uses the same slip ring as the CGO3+. This video shows how it's done on that camera.

Steve,

Another crash specialist here. The 4-blade antennae just under the camera lens popped out. i tried popping it back in & was partially successful except for two blades still sticking out. I didn't want to force it & stopped . Is there a technique for getting it all inside the compartment. Thank you!

Back on original topic. I now have bought solder iron and flux from amazon. Still searching for this part in UK? YUNEEC CGO3+ SLIP Ring. Any suggestions? Call yuneec? Apparently on their website my closest authorised dealer is in Africa? Lol

booboo,
It would be better to start a new thread for this issue. That would gather more attention to your issue, and it would avoid confusion of the existing topic of this thread.
Please clarify which camera you have. You mentioned "4-blade" antennae, which maybe is a camera other than the CGo3 series?
Be glad to help if I can.

Hi what really? Top-right flick switch three modes smart angle sport. Don't do what I did in sport showing off how fast it goes. Still looking for the slip ring guys in UK any suggestions as to where buy please?

My Three modes are Smart, Angle and Home..No sport. Are the UK models different than the US ones?
