Hello , what is the difference between the return to home altitude settings in the g.u.I and the st16?

The altitude settings in the GUI start out as the default settings in the autopilot. What you see is how the aircraft was set up when you first obtained it. The RTH altitude you establish through the ST-16 is what the aircraft will use for RTH if and when you make changes, as long as that height does not exceed the Geo fence altitudes that were established in the GUI and transferred to the aircraft. If you do not make any changes to the RTH height through the ST-16, that height will be what is presented in the GUI.

Bear in mind you can change the height and distance settings in the GUI and transfer them to the aircraft. The horizontal distance limits are only applicable in Smart mode and do not function in Angle mode. The horizontal distance limit is pretty restrictive for experienced operators but helps keep inexperienced operators from getting themselves into too much trouble. The altitude limit presented in the GUI is applicable to both Smart and Angle modes until you change them.

Regarding RTH height, wherever you fly, take a look around and estimate the height of the highest obstacle in the immediate area and adjust your RTH height to a value at least 30' higher than the highest obstacle. You never know when you might be flying along and put the H on one side of the high point with you on the other. Another thing to consider is the distance you fly. If you fly long distances and require a high RTH height the H may well consume a lot of battery climbing to RTH height if RTH is triggered a long ways out. That may consume enough energy to prevent the aircraft from making it back to the launch point/ST-16.
