I keep getting an orange warning about my IRL sensor when flying indoors, which goes away if I pick up the drone and hold it 2 feet off the ground. Is this because the lighting in the room is too dark? Is there any work-around for this?

You don't need to pick up just start the props ones you start to fly it goes way too

IRL sensing does require "X" amount of light, and some sort of "texture" on the surface to work effectively. Do not believe they would be effective if all they were looking at was a smooth surface of just one color.

Exactly bamaguy. Not enough light is an issue for the IRL sensor. Easely noticed when using a light dimmer. Not enough texture (and GPS off) still caused a nice crash with my Breeze.
