Loose wire in battery compartment

I have a Q500 4k copter that I'm wondering if I have a wire that has been disconnected unintentionally or if I'm supposed to hook it up to something. A thumbnail picture is attached.

That is normal. Wire is used to hook machine up to GUI software on PC if needed.

The first time I put my battery in, it tore 2 of the little wires from the plug. Is there a way to fix the plug if it's needed in the future? And when would I need to use that wire? I keep seeing the word GUI software, but I don't know what that is.
