Yesterday B&H Photo delivered my FPV set. $69.95 Standard retail price.
I tried to fly her with my iphone 6, and got video drops like mad. (Downlink only)
So today, I linked up my mini2 running IOS 10.3.2
I first flew her with the ipad. As you know, the on screen controls leave
much to be desired both in sight and in finesse of control.
This evening, I linked the GAMESIR to the IPAD, and temporarily hung my ipad
from a pseudo neck strap, controlling the Breeze from the GSir.
THIS is what I was looking for! Smooth operation, much more precise,
with a 'slower' yaw rate even left stick. (The Yaw trim tab is still too jerky.)
BUT all in all she flies great!!
Next step is too design a nice 'holder' for the ipad.
Last night I tried the FPV goggles on the iphone, and it is true! - ya need a spotter!
App is 1.0.8.1 - the latest American Firmware. And I have 10.3.2 on the phone too.
Bigger screen, smoother control. Its all good!
My only standing complaint is the USB to PC link. Man its hard to connect
and DLoad the film. But the word - eventually comes to mind...
