My CGO 3 4K Camera will not go up or down

What has changed since last time the camera worked normally?
1.) Any firmware updates?
2.) Hard landing or crash?
3.) Different controller?

Does the camera work normally on the steadygrip?

Does the drone fly normally?

The drone flyes normally. The camera workes fine just don't go up or down. No hard landing. Same controller. No updates

There are a lot of possible causes. Some in the camera, some in the drone, some in the controller. This is going to be difficult unless we can eliminate some of the possibilities. That was the reason to ask if you tried it on the steady grip. If you don't have a steadygrip, that's OK, we will try to work around it. But if you do have the steady grip, please try it. It will either work, or it will not work. Either way, it will eliminate possibilities we don't have to pursue. (Remember you have to push the round button beside the slide wheel to activate the camera tilt mode.)

As @Steve Carr mentioned above, try the camera using the back up cable that can be plugged into the back of the camera and run to the socket near the center of the drone. Again, it will work, or it will not. We learn something either way. If you don't have the cable, let us know.

If you have access to a different controller, please try to bind to another controller to see if the camera will work. Again, if no access to a different controller, we will work around it. If you only have access to the normal controller, you can check the operation of the tilt slider by using the "Hardware Monitor" screen of your controller.

Some general things to try:

Cleaning contacts with alcohol might help.

Check to ensure the contact springs on the slider are all at the same level. Sometimes they get pushed in and get stuck.

You could also measure voltage between the two OUTSIDE contacts on the slide mount. They should read about 2 volts. Be careful not to short either side to the center contact. That one is full battery voltage.

Again, try it on the Steadygrip.
