Remote shutdown...

Question for those with one.
Is it possible to fly 500'-600' away, land, shut down motors, but keep recording. Then start the motors up and return home?
I want to fly up on top of something, land but keep filming, I'm thinking of videoing a best for e.g..
Will it work?

Yes, you can perform that. Just don't hit the record button to stop the camera from recording.
