unboxing new h920 plus..have the batteries all charging and have been reading the forum for days and days..
won't attempt a flight test for a few more days at least..so much to absorb..

hmm..controller battery is not accepting a charge..still showing same status..removed the battery, waited a bit then replaced the battery and turned on the st16..then i plugged the USB cable into the charger and turned off the St16..looked just now, half hour later and it is now showing charging progress .. out of the red and into the yellow..
5 hours to full is the claim in the manual..check back in later and update .

leave it overnight, see what happens.

If you have an aftermarket charger you can make an adapter cable to charge it in about an hour. The downside, after you reinstall the battery you have to connect to your home wifi so it will update the time and date. But it's still much faster.

If you are charged up today, try to fly by Sunday... not good to leave the flight batteries fully charged for more than a couple of days... The controller however, no problem.

yes, i am looking at that too. I have a good quality charger and can solder up the needed adapters and fiddly bits....will let you know how it turns out.
just remembered that the controller keeps its data if you remove the battery while a USB cable is powering it ..
discovered that by accident..it complains if you try to use anything, but will keeps the date/time set until you replace the battery..

Are you flying the H Plus?

Are you flying the H Plus?
yes, i read and read for weeks and took the leap and bought a 920 plus pro bundle
hard shell cases for camera and bird, ground use camera / gimbal handle, a battery test meter
3 batteries, controller, charger, all cables and fittings.
1 each extra A/B blades..so far no surprises or mysteries, is as was expected from the forum chatter...so much info in one place from actual users, is a gold mine..though and has made the learning curve a little shallower..

Just to be sure, @jdz is talking about a 920+, not an H plus, right!

If you have an iPhone or tablet the wall charger used for them works for the ST-16. If the plug will fit the ST-16 it will work.

As you know, the 920+ kit includes the A10 charger, providing a USB charge port to handle the ST-16 without having to adjust any battery or rate settings. Should you elect to use the main battery charge ports for a li-on battery a couple things you should know. You will need to select the correct battery type as charge rates and cell voltage are different between lipo and li-on. Using the main ports for li-on may require the addition of a balance lead, something not required when using the USB charge port. The main ports certainly do when charging the Pro Action battery.

Something else of interest, Yuneec products, like DJI, can be down right finicky about USB cables. For some reason a brand new cable may not work, generating a lot of consternation. If you encounter issues with not charging or connecting to the Typhoon H GUI, try several different USB cables before anything else to see if a cable change corrects the problem.

Do not forget or avoid the compass calibration before the first flight. It’s very important.
first thing to do this afternoon..do the compass calibration and then practice a few take offs and landings..try and get a feel for how she responds..

thanks.. yes.. a lot of models/phones and even radios are fussy about the USB cable one uses..rule of thumb, you get what you pay for..buy cheap now, , pay again later..and again..

Need to clarify something, charging the Li-on battery requires a balance lead when the battery has been removed from it’s associated device to be charged independently.

Noon Sunday and a light blowing snow :/
looks like a few days to a week before i can do outside compass calibration let alone fly..

will run the batteries through charger to storage state and try to avoid being that old guy outside in the field, shaking his fist at sky..;)
